About This Position

Teach Kids to Build, Code, and Create This Summer

We've been delivering hands-on STEM education across Minnesota for over 20 years. We run week-long technology camps in schools and community education buildings throughout the Twin Cities, teaching kids ages 4–15 to build with robotics, learn coding, create videos, play and learn through Minecraft, explore 3D printing, and more.

We're hiring Teachers and Assistants for Summer 2026.

This is a great fit if you love working with kids, enjoy technology, and want a fun summer job. Many of our past employees have used this position to fulfill internship or practicum requirements, ask us about it.

THE ROLE

You'll travel to school and community education sites in Eden Prairie and nearby areas to teach (or assist in) week-long camps. You'll pick up equipment from our headquarters in Roseville, transport it in your vehicle, set up your classroom, and run engaging, hands-on classes using our curriculum and equipment. Your number one priority is creating a fun, safe learning environment for every student. Class sizes are typically 8–10 students per teaching staff.

You won't be commuting to an office every day. You'll visit our Roseville headquarters every 1–3 weeks during the summer to exchange equipment. The rest of your time is spent at your teaching sites.

You'll work independently at your sites, but you're never on your own. You'll have training, curriculum guides, and direct communication with our team throughout the summer.

What a typical day looks like:

  1. Load 2–3 equipment totes into your vehicle and drive to your site
  2. Set up the classroom before students arrive
  3. Teach or assist with a hands-on technology class (robotics, coding, Minecraft, video production, 3D printing, etc.)
  4. Pack up, communicate any notes to the team, and head out

TRAINING & PREPARATION

  1. 10 hours of online training covering camp management and leadership fundamentals
  2. 12 hours of in-person orientation at our Roseville headquarters where we train you on every subject you'll be teaching
  3. All curriculum and equipment provided.

PAY

  1. Teachers: $18–$24/hr (camp hours) | $11.50/hr (prep & training)
  2. Assistants: $14–$18/hr (camp hours) | $11.50/hr (prep & training)

Camp hours are your teaching time on-site. Prep and training hours cover your time outside of class — equipment pickup, training sessions, and administrative tasks.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Teachers: College students, recent graduates, or licensed teachers with experience working with elementary-age kids. You're organized, energetic, and confident enough to lead a room full of excited 6–12 year olds on your own.

Assistants: Tech-savvy high school or college students who want classroom experience in a supporting role. Also a great fit if you're qualified to lead but want a lower-pressure summer gig.

Requirements (Both Roles):

  1. Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle that can fit up to 4 large plastic totes
  2. Comfortable with technology and computers
  3. Strong communication skills — you'll work independently and stay in regular contact via email and phone
  4. Able to lift equipment totes up to 40 lbs
  5. Punctual, reliable, and patient with kids
  6. Must pass a local and national background check

Additional for Teachers:

  1. Self-confident and assertive enough to manage a class of high-energy elementary kids
  2. Organized and efficient in running a structured class

Bonus Points:

  1. Experience with LEGO, Minecraft, programming, video production, or robotics
  2. Background in tutoring, coaching, or mentoring kids

We hire on a rolling basis — the earlier you apply, the more schedule options you'll have.
